Some attendees of previous Nimhneach events have been kind enough as to write of their experiences and to allow us to publish them here as testimonials.

I was nervous. First time fetish party, and I had dragged two girl friends in to play Domme for the night, alongside my newly discovered but very sincere role as a Dominant Female.

We dressed in corsets and mini-skirts, thrilling in our near nakedness as we shuffled into a taxi which deposited us to the door of the venue. The sashay across the downstairs (vanilla) part of the venue may have looked confident, but inside my heart hammered heavily until I made it to the stairs, spoke briefly with the very pleasant door people - and we were in!

A spanking bench! An A-Frame! An array of fabulous outfits the like of which I had never seen outside of late night sex shows on certain satellite television stations! My friends’ eyes were out on stalks, while I explained various aspects to them, from my admittedly limited knowledge. A swift drink to calm our nerves, and they were loving it.

Nimhneach organisers had done an excellent job, everything was in order and they had obviously done their best to please most of the people, most of the time. We were greeted by a charming young man, and put at our ease immediately by the friendly and accepting atmosphere. Experienced players used the equipment provided, and there was plenty to be seen on all sides.

I have been back since - braving the long haul to Dublin and the hassle of finding suitable accommodation there with ease - due to the unique attraction that is Nimhneach.

Thank-you to all of the organizers of the event last Saturday but especially to Peter who came over to chat with us “newbies” and make us feel at ease throughout the evening.

It was a nerve wracking experience walking down the street in our fetish gear and it was unnerving to actually walk past the entrance to the Voodoo Lounge as we were looking under the sign for the door. We laughed at ourselves to calm our jitters and found our way to the back of the bar to go upstairs to the fun.

Immediately upon our arrival we were greeted like long lost friends as opposed to the unknown newbies from Co. Kerry. I did find it funny that the wife was asked to open her coat to see if she was attired in “fetish” gear but that I was not. I was actually wearing a shirt over everything and a floor length coat. I guess the fact that it was leather gave me away.

It was an informal and fun setting where we got to meet such lovely people from all walks of life. The fetish wear, or lack of clothing made us feel very comfortable for our first foray into the Dublin scene. We promise to be back and to be more risqué at future events. The wife has already been planning her various outfits for the rest of the year. The only thing that we would ask is that you try to schedule around the rugby matches so that we can get a hotel room in the City.

We met some lovely people who were so friendly and we were both amazed at the trust and care between the partners who were being spanked and doing the spanking. You could see the closeness of their relationship even when one was getting spanked. The wife and I want to thank all those persons who put on the show for us.

The wife was so worked up that we had our own fun later.
